“Legislators, market surveillance authorities, accreditation bodies, accredited and notified laboratories, and product users. Is there still room for a producer’s voice in this series?”
The lecture will present the results of adhesion measurements of adhesives used in ETICS by the pull-off technique obtained in inter-laboratory comparisons. The question of the reliability of the results obtained by the pull-off method concerning various products has been the subject of many years of research, as a result of which critical views have been formulated for years. The presentation, based on the obtained test results of the project carried out with the participation of sixteen laboratories belonging to SSO members, will discuss issues related to the use of the effects of inter-laboratory comparisons to assess the competence of laboratories, the suitability of the measurement method for assessing and verifying the constancy of performance of construction products and shaping the relationship between the manufacturer, laboratory evaluating the product, accreditation bodies, market surveillance authorities, the legislator and the final user of construction product.
