“Acoustic testing of walls insulated with ETICS with mineral wool and polystyrene insulation – comparison of laboratory test results”
In his presentation, the author will discuss issues related to the acoustic insulation of exterior walls, taking into account current legal requirements, acoustic classes for buildings and investors’ expectations. He will present the influence of composite thermal insulation systems (ETICS) on the acoustic insulation of walls, also considering the influence of other elements in the wall, such as windows, doors and window ventilators. Will present and compare the results of acoustic tests conducted by Rockwool for a full wall insulated with ETICS with mineral wool and EPS. He will discuss calculation methods for estimating sound insulation according to PN-EN ISO 12354-1:2017-10 after adding additional layers to a solid wall.
